It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has achieved everything.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

In the end, the consequence of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to deliver her newest gem.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 more at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can succeed."

Those words will be the final thing rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this success coming after win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
